Kaden had a fantastic year of basketball and did the little things that help your team win games. He played against the best forwards and centres and was a force in the key. Kaden's favorite moves are the drop step spin and 3 pt shot.
#17 S. Alvarez
Sebastian is a beast. He plays with power and strength. Sebastian is an excellent rebounder. Our team was missing his presence when he went down with a colar bone injury. We were a much better team once he returned from injury.
Nic is new to our team and is a rookie to rep basketball. Nic has already shown signs of tremendous athleticism which will help our team. He hustles on every play, rebounds and can score from anywhere on the court. We look forward to watching his development on the Grizzlies.
Alex is in his first year with the Grizzlies. He can play multiple positions. So far he has demonstrated a high basketball iq and can score the ball from anywhere on the court. He’s a pass first player and his defense is excellent.
#22 K. Kowalski
Kasper was our most consistent player and was our best rebounder. He's a natural leader and plays with his heart + soul. Kasper always left it on the floor and was consistent with double digit in points and rebounds per game. Most memorable game was his game winner 3 pt from half court.
#19 J. Kooyman
Jesse, as a rookie, was our most improved player over the course of the season. His 3 pt shooting helped us down the stretch. Jesse enjoys driving to the basket with force.
#8 J. Reynolds
Jack is a crafty shooting guard that can make big shots. He has the ability to draw fouls and can knock down free throws.
Joseph is in his first year with the Grizzlies. We are looking forward to seeing what joseph can do at the point guard position. Joe makes great decisions, passes well and can also score the 3 ball. He takes good shots and is a great team player.
Devan is in his first year with the Grizzlies. He is a versatile player that can run the floor, drive hard to the basket and has a nice jump shot. Devan will help our team this year and we are very excited to watch him develop into a even more dominant guard/forward.
#3 A. Alaimo
Adrian is a great scorer and defensive player. In his second year with the Grizzlies, he averaged double digits in points per game and was in the top 3 in team steals. Adrian has made some big shots to win games. Adrian can drive hard to the basket and is an excellent 3 point shooter.
#44 D. Jain
DilLon is a versatile player that can score the ball from anywhere on the court. He has a nice step back which resembles Dirk Nowitzki's. Dilon has been a important player playing positions 2, 3, and 4. This year Dillon is playing better then ever.
Coach Alaimo has 11 years of coaching experience which includes 3 years at St. Ignatius of Loyola Secondary 1991 - 1994, 1 year at St. Rafael's Elementary 1995, 2 years at St. James Elementary 1996- 1998 ( 1998 Halton Regional Champions ), and 4 years at Blessed Trinity Secondary 1999 - 2003 ( 3 league titles, and 2 SOSSA championships, In the final year at Blessed Trinity 2003 he led the Thunder to the finals AAA Division) Coach Alaimo returned to coaching 14 years later and led the Grimsby Boys U15 Basketball Club team to a silver medal in their season ending OBL Championship.
Coach Derksen has 5 years of coaching experience at his alma mater A.R. MacNeill Secondary School in Richmond,British Columbia from 2010 until 2015 Helping lead the Grade 10 junior boys to an RSSAA City Championship in 2012, He also coached at the club level for Machoops Basketball U15,U16 and U17 levels from 2010 - 2014. Coach Derksen brings a mixture of playing and coaching experience from the west coast of Canada and he is excited to share his knowledge with the next generation of basketball players.
